How You Can Help

First, thank you for helping the animals. We are in need of donations not only to feed and medicate the animals but to maintain housing and fencing for them. The all work done at the Ranch is done by volunteers. So, all the donations received will go directly to the animals. No salaries or administration fees are taken.

At Double D Bar Ranch, we have many ways that you can help to change and better the livies of our animal friends. of your time. If none of these programs meet with the way that you wish to contibute, please don't hesitate to contact us.

"SPONSOR A PET” PROGRAM

We presently house about 450 animals including 2 Bulls and a Cow, Horses, Pot Belly Pigs, Yorkshire Pigs, Sheep, Goats (both dairy & pigmy), Fallow Deer, Rabbits, Chickens, Ducks, Pheasants, Guinea Hens and Geese. The feed bills run about $4,500 per month and vet bills around $1,000 per month.When you Sponsor A Pet, you can name it if it doesn’t have a name already, you will receive a picture of it and the history of the animal you sponsor as far as we know it. The animal will remain here, as your pet, for as long as you sponsor it. If for a 2 month period of time you do not send your sponsor fees the pet can then be available for someone else to sponsor or adopt. Once a pet is sponsored it will remain here, not to be sponsored or adopted by anyone else. Your pet is exclusively yours. Please, make your checks payable to the Double D Bar Ranch and send them to our address.

Donations By Mail or Drop-off( Checks, Animal Food, Building Materials, or Blankets)

  • You can make your checks payable to the Double D Bar Ranch send it to our address.
  • We are in constant need of blankets, towels, paper towels
  • Bags of feed or bales of hay.
  • Cans or bags of cat food and kitty litter.
  • Building materials, such as plywood, 2x4’s, 2x6’s, 2x10’s, rolled roofing, nails, screws and hardware for gates (hinges and hasps).

Your Time

(We are Open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year)Their are many ways in which you can personally help:

  • Feed and water animals
  • Pen and shed maintenance (cleaning and rebuilding)
  • Working with and handling the animals in order to humanize them: such as teaching them to walk on leashes, playing with them and showing them they don’t have to be afraid of humans.
  • Holding animals so they can be groomed, medicated or having their hooves or nails trimmed.
  • Start a fund raisier or We can use help in all aspects of our fundraising programs, both on a small and large scale.We would like to start a large annual fundraiser banquet or golf tournament for some of our future animal housing needs and our present basic animals needs. We also need people to work on committee that could help us to gain corporate sponsors. Our newsletters needs both creating, packaging and ad sales help.
